Dear DAD, Well it has been one month today since you left use. At times it feels so long ago and other times it feels like yesterday. I know from memories that I have of your dad, he was a very nice man. What I have in my heart is someone who made an impression on me as a child and that has stayed with me all my life. I hadn't seen him for years and years, but remembered his face when I saw him and your mom at the Chicken Coop years ago.
Periodically we have kept in touch and as life gets in the way, I never did get to their home to visit.
I heard of his passing through my sister-in-law who knows Eve and I was saddened by the news. I do remember your mom telling me that he was sick.
I am so sorry for your loss and I know that he is watching over all of you. He is a guardian angel and will be there waiting when you all meet once again.

Dearest Dad,
Dad, You fought so hard not to leave this earthly plain, leaving behind all of us that you loved so deeply. It was evident as you spoke to your deceased Mother and Grandmother that you were not leaving without your Bride as you grabbed Mom. You had a very special love and devotion to her for over 60 years that connot be explained. We all have such wonderful memories that will always live on as we remember special things you have said or done over the years. I know we will always hold dear Saturday, August 23rd as you sat in your chair enjoying one of your best days in a long time, eating spaghetti, had some wine, and enjoyed visiting with the family. Later that day when I was helping Billy reposition you--- you sang to Mom "I'll go to my grave loving you." We were all so touched by that day.
Those are the memories I will always cherish.
Dad, Heaven now has another special angel along side of John to entertain and sing to those who have gone before you. These last two weeks have been very difficult for everyone of us especially Mom as we tried so hard to comfort you and fulfill your wish to die at home. I am so pleased that I was able to be there for you on your last days. I know it was very healing for both of us. LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU DAD, LOVE KAREN

Dad you will not only be missed by all of us you will be remembered all the days of our lives.. You were the glue and foundation that held us all together. You are the rock in our lives. We model ourselves after you. You taught each of us so well, to laugh, love and enjoy who we are. You made us strong, opinionated and you listened to each one of us. You never ever forced us to do what you wanted but told us what you thought. You were our hero and always will be. I know in my heart we will meet again, until then I will hold you in my heart. I love you Dad, enjoy your place in heaven and please watch over MOM. She misses you more than anyone could ever imagine! So long for now and see you on the flipside..

My Papa has left this earth to fly with the angels in Heaven. He left me with many memories and he will never be forgotten. I love you so much Papa!! I will always smile when I think of you, remembering how you would put my hair in my pocket when I was little or how I would lie on the floor with you and try and lift your big arm over me. I will miss your silliness and the way you would try to make everything rhyme. I will miss everything about you but I know I will always feel you near me and I know I am blessed to have one more angel in Heaven watching over
