Carmen & Family,
Our families have been together for what seems like forever, growing up in the Village and at Second Baptist Church. Because of those relationships, we are "family" and we share your hurt. Your Mom was such a good person and will truly be missed, but her memory will live on.

I just met Dolores two weeks ago, but she was such a strong woman of the Lord. I saw such a spirit of her that lit up her whole face. The presence of the Lord was upon her. I was at a bible study and her faith and knowledge was amazing. Her bible represented years of study and use. Though I didn't know her barely at all...she did touch my heart but I am happy that she is in a better place and with the Lord. She is singing and praising in his presence and may you find comfort in that. Also that her spirit will fill your hearts and surroundings.

I've known Ms. Pyles my entire life. Both as a neighbor and a wonderful friend of my family. I've known her in many capacities...from working at the Lackawanna Health Clinic to being one of the first ones at my house the morning my mother passed way to working on church projects together. She was just a wonderful person. I consider myself fortunate to have known her. To Carmen and the rest of the family, find peace in the fact that your mother knew and was a friend of God. She is in a wonderful place. I'm sorry I won't be there with you in person, but you are in my prayers.

Miss Dolores.... I will miss you so so much... You were my friend, my spiritual mom, my spiritual mentor, and a great example to all. I am a better person today because of your example and Love for the L-rd.

Carmen, it was only Sunday that I saw and got a big kiss from your mom. I am so sorry to hear of her leaving this world, but I am happy that she is in a better world and is now with my mom. I remember the times we used to spend at your house when we were kids, especially her fried chicken.. Take comfort in knowing you will see her again, and know that she lives on in you, and her grandchilden. My prayers are with you at this most difficult time. The pain never goes away but it does get easier..
