Carmen & James, I was sadden to hear about Dolores. She has always been like a big sister to me.Please stay strong. God has her in a better place.

Our families have been together for what seems like forever, growing up in the Village and at Second Baptist Church. Because of those relationships, we are "family" and we share your hurt. Your Mom was such a good person and will truly be missed, but her memory will live on.

I just met Dolores two weeks ago, but she was such a strong woman of the Lord. I saw such a spirit of her that lit up her whole face. The presence of the Lord was upon her. I was at a bible study and her faith and knowledge was amazing. Her bible represented years of study and use. Though I didn't know her barely at all...she did touch my heart but I am happy that she is in a better place and with the Lord. She is singing and praising in his presence and may you find comfort in that. ...

I was saddened to hear of your moms passing. I will never forget her for allowing me to go to church with you all and the friendship that we shared in the Village.
