Buddy was my hero from my `teens (and still is) - his almost super graciousness combined with a robust bawdy humor meant a smile on everyone´s face. I am greatly enriched by his friendship.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. I have been trying to track down info on my family, and had recently discovered that my Great Uncle "Louis Koko" had been a Vaudeville Acrobat under the name "Robert DeMont", It was both a great surprise and a sad one to see him in those photo's you posted. I have been able to discover very little about my family, and every little bit helps. I am sorry that I did not know or have the opportunity to talk with Buddy and learn more about the Robert DeMont Trio,

Buddy was a consummate showman. As he performed, you never felt that he was showing off – he was just trying to make the audience smile, and have a great time. Even when not on stage. Buddy had a way of lighting up the room with his presence, and his antics. Buddy recognized talents in other people, and always encouraged them to use these talents. We believe that his annual Birthday parties were not about celebrating his own life, but an excuse to celebrate and showcase his entertainer friends. Buddy loved all his friends, and seemed happiest when surrounded by them. We will always love and remember you, Buddy, for all the joy you brought to our lives during the too short 20 years that we knew you.

Many of the things people have shared here are so very true for myself as it was for them. He was my strength, my guiding light, my happiness meter, in a way. You couldn't be unhappy around my dearest Dad, he wouldn't allow it. My family and I miss and love him dearly, and this can only grow with time.

The song "My Buddy, My Buddy" could have been written for Buddy. I will miss the birthday parties that I have attended the last 30 yrs. Each one an event and a tribute to the collection of friends and families he brought together for that special occasion. Thanks to Barb and her wonderful family that we will always have those memories. Go in peace Buddy and know you were loved by so many. From my heart.
Love, as always

Buddy had a great physique and a nasty drop shot in the corner. He taught me how to bang my head tumbling at the Saturn and the importance of physical conditioning. I hope many remember his contributions. bump

When you think of the word "Showmanship" you think of Buddy. The world is a stage. I have the fondest of memories as a child when Buddy and my Dad turned our living room into a showroom.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Barbara and Kathy, and to all in Buddy's family as well as his extended family of friends. He was an important person to many people in all walks of life and each of us has a special memory of Buddy. September will never be the same without his birthday party and all of the revelry! We will miss him.

Whenever I was down, you picked me up. Whenever I needed help, you gave me all. Your strong heart carried all who knew you. Wherever you went people followed and joined you for happiness and direction. We take faith knowing we will be together, again.

When I was ? years old in the late '50s , I started training with Buddy at the Saturn . He not only taught me skills I still use today , but provided a role model for how to be an honorable man that I have passed on to my son and grandson . His commitment to physical fitness and fundamentals in self defense and tumbling were lessons ahead of his times and he was a wonderful friend to all that were lucky enough to know him . We need more Buddys .
