SCHIFFHAUER - James J. Of Greece, loving father and brother on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 after a long illness; predeceased by Carol Ann Spong; survived by children, Mark (Carol) Schiffhauer, Dawn (Jeff) Todd, Laura Jean (Michele) Mottini, Colleen (John) Baker, Angela (Ray) Miller, Steve (Kelly) Schiffhauer, Lisa (Ted) Trybus; brothers, Buddy and Danny Schiffhauer, of Buffalo; sisters, Mary Bernard, Catherine Cole, Anne Cavacoli, Mona Kontos, all of Buffalo; 13 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff on 5 South at St. Johns Home for the compassion and kindness during his long illness. Friends may call Saturday (today) 12-2 PM at the VAY-SCHLEICH & MEESON FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Memorial Service will follow calling Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Carter Center, 1 Capenhill, 453 Freedom Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30307 in his memory.
