I am deeply sorry to hear that Michael passed away. Connie, you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Michael was a man that lit up whatever room he walked into. He was given the gift of a few more years of life. He used that time well. He spread his infectiously joyful personality throughout Roswell Park and Buffalo. Whenever we have those dark stormy winter days and the rays of sunlight come streaming down...those stairways to heaven...I will think of Michael. With love always,

Connie, Anegla, Michael;
I'm so sorry to hear about Mike. I remember him growing up on Vermont St. Coming to the beauty shop with my Mom (Kay) every weekend. He always would come down from upstairs and joke around with my Mom. They would go head to head with thier kidding around. Those were some great times back on the old West Side. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Dear Connie and children, Terry, Paul and Andy,
I'm so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was a good man. I remember when the Piazza's first moved in next door to us. They were kind, good neighbors.
As my bro Tom and I were latch key kids, Mike protected us from the neighborhood bullies and yet still had their respect. He made us laugh, let us play with the "big kids" and always looked out for the younger kids. Small things in an adult world, but signs of a young teen guiding himself with character and grace.
Connie, your children and grandchildren can be proud. Good men are in the minority today.
Condolences and Blessings.

Dear Connie, Angie and (Little) Mike,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mike SR. I have such fond memories growing up on west ave. with you guys. I remember one time specifically where I was rollerskating in the street and I tripped on some broken glass. I cut my eye open and needed stitches. Mike cared for me until my mom got home. I begged him not to tell her that I was skating in the street because I would have been in big trouble. He never said a word and to this day he and I are the only ones who know! He would always look out for me much like the dad I never had. I'll always remember the times I saw Mike spending time at WSSA playing cards or at one of the stands at the Italian fest. He was never too busy to offer a smile or talk for a while. Even though we have grown up and apart I'll always hold close all the fun times we had. My family's (Luci & Chris) deepest sympathies go out to you and your family and friends. Sincerely, Dina DellaNeve.

Entire Piazza Family,
I am very sorry for you loss. I hope that you find comfort in the wonderful memories that he left behind. When we were teenagers (and thought we knew it all), Mr P. always took the time to sit down with us, listen to our silly stories, give us advice and make sure we were all headed down the right path. He was a second father to us during those years. He had a remarkable way to find the funny side to every situation and ensure that we were always smiling. What a great man! I'll never forget the time when I found out that I would be a father at a fairly young age and I sat down and had a heart-to-heart with Mr P. I was extremely scared of what the future held. He told me "Ryan's Hope (that's what he always called me)....as long as you love and provide for that baby and do the right thing....everything would work itself out." He was absolutely right. As always, he built up my confidence so that it didn't seem like such a challenge anymore. Later that year Danielle went into labor and I happened to be upstairs with Mr P. on Lawrence Pl. He shook my hand and said "Good luck....I'll see a new man and proud papa the next time I see you." He was right again. I can go on and on with wonderful memories. I'm sure everyone that met him can do the same. He absolutely loved his family and friends and he made sure everyone knew it.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful man with us!!! He will be missed by many and forgotten by none!!!
Love,
Ryan's Hope

Michael you were the only person I knew who could put a smile on someones face even when there was nothing to smile about...you always had a comment or a joke that for days later we could remember and still laugh at...the stories about my parents in the old neighborhood and at the cottage ....I'll always remember the fun at the bar you and that silly towel dancing around the bar...Well kiddo, your up there now with the Best of the Best...Keep them laughing till we can all be together again Cuz... You will be sadly Missed not just by our family but all you knew you...
P.S. keep away from the wash cloths...

Be strong he'll always be around..In your hearts and everything you do..

Michael, Kathy, Gia, and the rest of the Piazza Family, I am deeply sorry and truly sad for the loss of Mr.Piazza. I know much he loved all of you and how much he was loved in return. Not much can comfort the pain you must be feeling right now, but I hope the endless memories you have of and with him will help to ease it in time. I'm sure so many will say one of the things they will remember most about your dad is how much he loved all of you and his warm, loving smile. May God bless you all and help you threw the days ahead. I will keep you close in thought and in my prayers.
