I didn´t know Meaghan and I didn´t know the family. I happen to sit in a park during one of the most troubling times of my life. I was drawn to a bench near the water to think and just pray. I listened to the death of Jesus Christ and I prayed. I prayed for my unborn child whom I´m currently pregnant with. Once I was finished I saw Meaghan´s name on the bench and decided to look her up. I´m glad I did. Sitting here gave me a sense of peace and reassurance. Her spirit was one of a kind! I know it! Thank you for sharing her spirit with me and my child. Thank you for sharing your child with me. Blessings and prayers to you and your family.

Tim and Kate-
I am a friend of Annie and Brad's, and had the pleasure of meeting Meghan at their wedding ten years ago. I have always inquired about how she was doing whenever Annie and I would speak. I was so sorry to get the news that she had passed. I am truly sorry for your loss, and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
With love,

Dear Kate and Tim -
My name is Candie Ward and I am a life long friend of Meaghan's Aunt Margie. I am so sorry to hear of your loss... especially after all the hope from the transplant. My sister lost her daughter to a car accident at 19, so I have experienced the wealth of emotions, both the horrible negative loss and the outpouring of goodness from those surrounding the family - it is indeed a difficult time for all involved - especially since Meaghan was such a special person. I am praying for your whole family and have been praying since Margie told me how sick Meaghan was. May you find as much peace in Jesus as I am sure Meaghan is experiencing. . . while she takes deep breaths of the Holy Spirit. She will breathe it upon you forever.
Sincerely,
deborah bishop-mondo

Dear Grotz family,
I don't personally know your family, though I just heard Meaghan's Story on Channel 2 News. I was so touched by her courage and zest for life. I am deeply saddened for your loss. I did hear Mrs. Grotz say in a prior interview that Meaghan would someday go onto Heaven. Take comfort in your faith. I will be one of many who will tell Meaghan's Story for years to come. She was so brave and beautiful, what a smile. Thank You for sharing her with us. God Bless All of your family. My prayers are with you.
Sincerely,

I didn't know Meaghan for long but I met her in my Chemistry Class at Buffalo State College. I needed some help with the notes and I randomly walked up to her and asked her if I could see her notes. She was so sweet to me, and let me look over her notes. She told me if I need anything in that class to ask her because she takes lots of science classes. She also told me, if I don't understand something don't be afraid to ask the teacher. I was really pleased with the way she treated me, and that is my memory I will never forget. She was so helpful and willing to help! Bad things happen to good people, but she is in a better place. May God be with her and her family.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Grotz,
I was so sad to read of Meaghan's passing this past week. She worked with my staff at Buffalo State, and we were so taken with her attitude, her smile, and her desire to keep on with her degree plans. She loved life and loved you so for helping her buy more years, have a chance to experience so many new things and make a difference. Her courage and her coping skills will be a model for others for a long time. We in the Disability Services Office are so sorry for your loss.

To the Grotz Family,
Although we have never met you both, we met Meaghan through our son Donald Goodemote. Donald is one of Tim Watts best freinds. Meaghan had been to our restaurant when it was opened. She was such a remarkable and brave girl. And as for a small world, I work with Debbie Drexelus at ECMC. Words cannot express the loss. I was at a loss when Debbie told me the news. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Tim & Kate..What great sadness I felt upon hearing the news of Meaghans death...It was a pleasure watching Meaghan grow into a loving young adult while taking care of her at Childrens...It could not have been possible if it were not for the two of you, guiding her and nurturing her along the way..She was a symbol of all that is good in the life...Just know I am thinking of you in this sad time and praying that you will have strength in the days ahead...Peggy Reddien CHOB V10

Dear Grotz Family,
We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your precious daughter Meaghan. Our daughter graduated with Meaghan in 2005. We were overjoyed when Meaghan walked across the stage and graduated with her class. It's hard to know what to say at this sad time because your loss is so geat and because Meaghan will be missed in so many ways. No amount of time can prepare us for a loss and no one can fully understand your sorrow. But even though no words can truly comfort you, perhaps they can in some small way express the care and concern that's felt for you now. Many hearts are with you, hoping you will have the strength you need to see you through this difficult time. May memories keep Meaghan always in your heart and mind. You're in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, The Gleason Family
