To the entire Esthimer family:
Knowing Lois was my privilege and she was one of the most inspiring women I have ever met. Although tragedy brought us together, it also offered us all an opportunity to seize and grow to make changes which were untreaded territory at that time. While working with her I was amazed at the strength which she brought to each and every victim impact panel address. And she continued with that dedication for the rest of her life. We were all very fortunate to have known her.
Eternal Be Her Memory,
With deepest regards,

What a humble and caring woman Lois was. I was the victim advocate on behalf of her family and was very new to this terrible grief following her daughters death. This is a woman who picked up the cause and made something positive of a very
tragic situation. She sat side by side with victim advocates, state DMV officials, STOP DWI and MADD directors, as well as Erie County probation workers. We began the first ever of its kind "Victim Impact Panel" and Lois contributed from her heart and soul day in and day out. One of our unsung heroes in this community. God bless and watchover you always Lois and may your reunion with your beloved daughter be grande. This woman should have received a full page obituary as far as I am concerned. But Lois being Lois, she was all about the cause and not her own ego or revenge, but about love. Thank you Lois for helping me grow to be the person I am today, empathetic and compassionate, and giving me my so called baptism by fire in the victim assistance field, particularly as it relates to DWI victims and their families. It has been my great gift to have known you.
God Bless your family and I know you will be taking care of them always.
Love, Sue Nardozzi (Cybulski)

In 1987 I had the pleasure of meeting Lois and her wonderful family. Although we met through the tragic circumstances of her daughter Gayle's death, I witnessed Lois and her family persevere through some unimaginably trying months that followed.
I maintained a working friendship with Lois as she became actively involved in the Erie County Crime Victims Support Group and then, the Erie County DWI Victim Impact Panel as a volunteer panelist.
Lois spoke approximately twice per month and told her heartbreaking story to hundreds of people for about ten years. She took what was likely the worst experience of her life and turned it into something that had the potential for positve change. I guarantee that Lois changed the course of countless lives through her speaking and, as a result, prevented hundreds of crashes, injuries and fatalities from occurring.
Lois was a hero in this regard. She was one of the most courageous people I ever had the honor of meeting.
We were all fortunate to have been given the opportunity to have Lois in some part of our lives, to grow from our interactions with her and, to learn from her experiences.
I held Lois in very high esteem and it was a privilage to have known her.

My Grandma was the most loving, compassionate, kind hearted woman I have ever known. Words can't describe how great she was but I can tell you this she would help out anyone with anything, she never held a grudge, she loved her family so much it was beyond love if you can do more than love someone than she'd be doing it. She taught me so many things that I will never forget and I thank her for that. My Nana was so special to me and so many other people but she's with us all in our hearts everyday forever.
"I love her so much and I will miss her with all my heart"
I love you Nana....
Your Grandson,
Andrew
