I only knew Matti for a short time, but I will never forget him. How sad it is to lose a life so bright, all I can hope is that God is with his family and friends in this hour and they can find strength in each other and themselves to make it through this dark time. To Jim, Katelyn and all of Matti's aunts and family I got to meet last year.
Matti was a great guy and I am really glad I got to meet him, he was the guy I got along the best out of everyone in Middlebury and made me feel like part of the group. He always had a way of making everyone laugh and he had a great soul and spirit. We always found a way to tease each other, but we were both really good friends. I'll miss him a lot and will be forever in my heart.
I'm sorry that I can not be there for you in this time of need. Please know that you and him are in my prayers and thoughts. My deepest sympathy.

Dear Family,

My deepest grievances go out to you all at this sad, sad time. I attended high school with Matti, and he always took the time to say hello, and had an optimistic personality.

At times like this, all you need is support from friends and family.
