Millard Chapman Obituary

CHAPMAN-Millard "Bus" Age 84, died in Lakeland, FL on September 2, 2007. He was born on September 28, 1922 in Portville, NY and resided in Angola, NY for 24 years before moving to Lakeland, FL. Bus was a WWII Veteran and served on the beaches of Nomandy on D-Day. He retired from the Ford Stamping Plant after 30 years. Bus loved to bowl and was an avid golfer until his illness limited his activities. He will be remembered for his generosity, compassion and hard work. Bus is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ardys "Matteson", sisters Vivian Ruggerio, Marion Smith and Bonnie Chapman, brother Roderick "Dick" Chapman, daughters Deborah (Nelson) Paolini, Cindy Keppel and Pam (Kenny Bjorsti) Chapman, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on September 28, 2007 at Harris Hill United Methodist Church at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Dr., Auburndale, FL 33823 or Lake Gibson United Methodist Church, 421 Platt St., Lakeland, FL 33809.
