Jeanne Lemen Obituary

LEMEN-Jeanne (Fowler) Age 83, formerly of Snyder and Northport, FL passed away Wednesday Sep. 19, 2007 in Reno, Nevada.Born in Dansville, NY on May 12, 1924, she relocated to Amherst with her husband Ted and two small children in 1950 where she became active in the community while working full-time and raising three sons. Her many interests included singing in the Ascension Lutheran Church choir, golf and travel. She enjoyed participating for many years in performances with the Amherst Players. Her passion for travel found her visiting Europe annually for many years, and following her husbands' death in 1975 she relocated a few years later to Florida and continued to share her golfing and travel interests with her late partner Jerome Zurek of Cheektowaga. Jeanne had many friends and she will be severely missed. Jeanne is survived by her three loving sons, Ted Lemen of Tiburon, CA, David Lemen of Lake Tahoe, CA and Scott Lemen of Buffalo, NY and her grandson Brandon Lemen of Lake Tahoe.

Scott, Ted & Dave,
I remember when your Mom invited my wife and I to dinner at your house on N. Burbank. What a great time we had. We had so.. much wine we all started meowing to the cat!
I guess you had to be there to appreciate it. Love you guys!! We'll miss her very much.

Sorry about your Mom's passing. I remember all the days around North Burbank with her, your dad, and all the hot rod cars when we were kids. I live in Kenmore, married with 3 kids, 23, 21, and 18.

My dad passed in 2003. My mom is 80 and still on Halwill.

My deepst sympathy.

Scotty, I will always miss your mother. I loved her like she was my own mother. I remember all the great times we had at her house on North Burbank -- she made the best highballs! I also loved going out with her, shopping & having lunch. And visiting her in Florida -- that was so great! She made everything a party. She always brought back the best gifts for me from overseas. I still remember that lovely little handbag from Guatamala. I will always miss her. May she laugh forever.

Ted, David and Scott - Jeanne was a good friend - we had many great times together socializing, playing golf, cards and just doing things together. It was a sad day when she had to leave Buffalo.
She has now joined Jerry and Jane Glass and they will watch over her.
Deepest sympathy from Edie Hoechst.
