GERKEN-Ruth B. (nee Bryant) Age 97, October 10, 2007, of Kenmore, NY; beloved wife of the late John K. "Jack"; dear mother of Jane R. and John K. Jr. (Victoria); grandmother of John K. III (Brenda) and Holly Ann; great-grandmother of John K. IV, Holly Ann and William P. Gerken. Friends may call Thursday 3-8 PM at the LESTER H. WEDEKINDT FUNERAL HOME, 3290 Delaware Ave. where funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 AM. Friends invited. Mrs. Gerken was the first female elder at Kenmore Presbyterian Church and a member since 1929. She was a legal secretary for Mr. Goodyear at Hodgson, Russ, Andrews, Woods and Goodyear. Also a member of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority for over 50 years in service to the community. She enjoyed family and fishing. If desired memorials may be made to Kenmore Presbyterian Church or The Salvation Army.
