i have great memories of uncle clyde, mostly as a child.i remember like it was yesterday that i got to stay overnight at his cabin.i was 7 years old now 40 what a great memory.i was there with clyde, tim, and tom.they were cutting down trees for fire wood and at the end of the day they were cutting down the last tree and the tree fell the wrong way and crushed a small log house and the look on clydes face was a look i will never forget. he then said to me that gary and david built that.after all these years i realize what that look on his face was about,he was sad that the tree fell on that house after gary and dave worked so hard to build it.i always enjoyed him as my uncle.i am truely sorry for the families loss

Dear Clyde,
Mom always loved you with all her heart. I can say from my heart that you were like the father we never had, you were there for the birth of most of our children, there are two you never met, Sean Patrick Hughes born on Daddy's birthday 11-15-05 and in memory of Mom our newest addition, born on October 9th, 2007, Donna Mary Hughes...I wish you could have met her. I cannot express how much you will be missed by us...May God Bless you Clyde. We have always prayed for you, because we love you.
With All Our Love,
Burke, Tiffany, Chelsea Nicole, Courtney Mae, Sean Patrick and Donna Mary HUGHES (Donna Mae's Son and Grandchildren)

Clyde you were my surrogate father and the love of my mother's life. It is like losing a large part of what remained of her. I love you and hope you and mom play music together from where your spirits dwell.
