Even though I was the annoying "little cousin" Jim always made things special for me. Whether it was a family gathering or speical occasion, Jim found a way to make it fun and memorable. Although we weren't close as adults, Jim's professional achievements inspiried me to pursue my advanced degrees. Jim had a special gift to help others, a gift that will be missed.

Jim will be missed in many ways. He was a wonderful nephew who was always willing to help the family, whether it was taking care of his grandparents or helping us recover from a difficult illness. HIs work with the Boy Scouts and Vets was an example to others. We consider outselves lucky to have had Jim as our nephew.

I remember Jim from scouts-high school-and explorers-then coming home on leave we had a nite out--going home we collided w/another car-we then walked back to my house and laughed that we totaled the car and no one got injured-within minutes Jim fell and hurt his knee...It was humor at the time..I remember him well thru the years,

"With us the circle stands for the togetherness of people who sit with one another around a fire, relatives and friends united in peace, while the Pipe passes from hand to hand. Once all the families in the villages were in turn circles within a larger circle, part of the larger hoop of the nation. The nation was only part of the universe, in itself circular….circles within circles, within circles, with no beginning and no end.

“To us this is beautiful and fitting; symbol and reality at the same time, expressing the harmony of nature and life. Our circle is timeless, flowing; it is new life emerging from death – life winning out over death.” Jim will be deeply missed and remembered

J.J. was someone that one was lucky to know. It's not everyday one comes in contact with someone with as big a heart as Jim. He was always willing, and wanted to, do whatever he possibly could do to help whomever was in need that crossed paths with him. I wish more people were like Jim, the world would be a better place. I give my best wishes to all of his family. I will miss J.J.'s company, as will many others.
