HEHIR-Thomas Peacefully, passed away at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, Ontario, on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at age 76; cherished father of Kathleen (Stephen), Michael (Nancy), Jean Marie (Christopher), Becky (Brian) and Anita (Sean); proud grandfather to Andrew, Kaitlin, Zachary, Benjamin, Ryan, Austin, Jacob, Kennedy, Madeleine, Riley, Kurtis, Melanie, Devyn and Sheridan. He is also survived by his siblings: Richard of Jackson, MI, Jim of Buffalo, NY and Mary Rose Russo of Solana Beach, CA and their families. Tom will be sadly missed by family and friends. He served in the US Army and worked at Service Systems and Canisius College. Tom was a gentle, compassionate spirit who cherished his family and was an avid sports enthusiast. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333) on Friday from 7-9 PM with Vigil Prayers at 8:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Road on Saturday, November 3, 2007, at 11:30 AM followed by a celebration of his life. Private interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington on Monday.
