I knew Don thru Little League Baseball. He had good knowledge of the game and always seemed to be impartial and fair. My wife and I both were very saddened of this news and want to send our sincerest condolences to Don's family and friends.

Don, I wish I could have told you how much I appreciate everything you did for my mom. Most of all though, you made her happier than I've ever seen her. You were a great person, and I am glad that I had the chance to know you. I wish you didn't have to go so soon, but we cannot question why God takes people. You came into our lives for a reason, and I know that we all have an angel watching over us now. You are at peace, in a better place. Thanks for making my moms birthday the best ever. I will never forget you- or your great sense of humor! DJ was lucky to have you, I know he'll make you proud though, you raised him good! See ya on the other side!

My sincere condolences to the Wojnar family. Don and I were umpires together down here in Maryland and we also shared the camaraderie of being Chief Petty Officers in the US Navy. We weren't stationed together, but we had the "bond". What a great guy. We laughed to the point of tears in the parking lot before and after games, and now the tears will be mixed with happiness of the memories we shared and sadness because I will miss you buddy. Rest in peace my friend. I'll see you on the other side. Your friend forever - Nick.

Although I didn't know Don well, I truly liked being around him at the baseball field. He made my transition to being an umpire fun, as he would be quick to point out EXACTLY what I did wrong and give me pointers on how to improve. Then he would tell a story about something he had done and make us all laugh. He was a good person to be around. You have my heart felt condolence.

Thoughts and prayers to the Wojnar Family. Don will truly be missed. His smile was contagious and his sense of humor was wonderful. I called him my "Uncle Vinny". I'm not sure if he minded that but he wasnt the kind of guy to complain.

The best thing I can say about my good friend, Don Wojnar, was that he was a "Good Man".
