Shelly and Irina, I don't know what to say except I'm sorry. We all KNOW though that Mom is in a better place. Her pain and suffering is over. If there is anything you need or any help you might need don't hesitate to call. Our prayers are with you both. Love Brian, Beth, and kids.

Dear Shelly,
To say we are saddened by the loss of your mother would be a gross understatement. Our hearts break because we know we will no longer enjoy her company. But as believers we know she is in the presence of her creator (clearly one with a sense of humor)and enjoying a reunion with your Dad and Mike.
If I were asked to describe your mom, I would have to say she was a great story teller. There wasn't a time we were together that she didn't have some great little tid bit to share. SHE ALWAYS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE!
I shared with Joe last Thursday night as we left Hospice how much I enjoyed being with all of you this past July. I wouldn't trade that day for all the money in the world!
Often, I shared with your mom how much I missed the egg salad sandwiches she would make for the potluck dinners in the basement of the old LCBC. She assured me it was very easy to do, but I doubt I could ever make it as good as she did. I guess I will continue to miss them.
When I first got married, Happy taught me two things. One was how to "finger press" my laundry. Not a laundry day goes by that I don't think about her. The second was how to feed both Joe and I for a week on one pot of stew! I never did figure out how to accompish this feat.
Your mom was a great lady! She never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She found the best in everyone and everything. Happy was truly an inspiration and someone I will continue to look up to.
Rest in peace Happy. We love you and will miss you very much! I wish I could make you 1 more cup of iced-coffee punch!
All our love and support,
Joe, Donna, Cortlynn and McKenna Cartonia
