I've known Harold since I was a young boy, but I really got to know him when we went to AU conventions together. He told me that he never had a better time than when we were at the Baltimore convention. He was a good friend and an asset to our mutual sport.My respects to his family and many friends.

Dear Rapin family,
My heartfelt sympathies go out to you. Harold, Jane and the family were so much a part of my youth, I loved you all. I'm sure Jane, my dad, Markie an Ed were all there waiting to greet Harold. May peace be yours in this difficult time.

Harold was a good man and a good friend. He was the Buffalo Homing Pigeon Association's "historian". It was always enjoyable and a pleasure listening to all the knowledge he had on the "sport" and the birds,... and about all the old time members,... and all the great races we had over the years. He will be sadly missed.
