Paul Kilian Obituary

KILIAN-Paul North 90, of Ellenton, FL, formerly of Cowlesville, NY, September 12, 2007, in Bradenton, FL. He was born July 31, 1917 in Bennington, NY, the son of Ralph and Irene North Kilian. A graduate of Attica High School, he was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Attica and the Alden Masonic Lodge. The owner and operator of Paul Kilian Inc. in Cowlesville, he started his plumbing, wiring and heating business in 1947 and retired in 1982. He was raised on the family farm and had an early appreciation of the earth. He enjoyed working with the earth, moving it around with either a backhoe, bulldozer or tractor. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, great grandchildren and family gatherings. He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Bradenton. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Roberta Frances Kilian, now of Columbus, OH, three children, Linda (Tom) Lehman of Powell, OH, Douglas (Olga) Kilian of Winterville, NC and Mary Jane Walker of Spencerport, NY, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews, a brother, Russell (Arlene) Kilian and a brother-in-law, Donald Hensen, all of Bennington. He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Hensen. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 17 at 11 AM at St. Paul's UCC, Attica, with Rev. Lex Liberatore officiating. A private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bennington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's UCC, 11 Washington St., Attica, NY 14011 or the Congregational UCC, 3700 26th St. West, Bradenton, FL 34205.
