Irene Sikora

SIKORA-Irene (nee Necel) Wife of the late Leonard A. Sikora, of Conway, SC, formerly of Ridgewood, NJ, died peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. Mrs. Sikora was born in North Tonawanda, NY, a daughter of the late Thaddeus and Martha Rudzinska Necel. Previous to her residing in Conway, SC, she lived in Ridgewood, NJ for 52 years, where she was active in church and community affairs. She was employed by Bergen Pines Hospital in the bookkeeping department in the years before her retirement. With her husband, she moved to New Jersey in 1938 and lived there until she came to live with her family in Conway in 2000. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a former member for over 50 years of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Mrs. Sikora was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America in Ridgewood, NJ and a member of the Rosary - Altar Society. She was predeceased by two sisters, and four brothers. Surviving are one son, Leonard Christian Sikora and his wife, Susan Ruscil Sikora of Novato, CA; one daughter, Patricia Sikora Millus and her husband, Dr. Donald J. Millus of Conway, SC; three grandchildren, Christian Anthony Millus and his wife, Melissa Cutler Millus of Henderson, NV, Dr. Donald M. Millus and his wife, Celine Bogart Millus of Columbia, SC, Sara Millus Tyler and her husband, Charles Tyler of Elgin, SC; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Anthony Millus and Erin Annette Millus, both of Henderson, NV; three step-grandchildren, Kyle Tyler, Kirsten Tyler and Morgan Tyler, all of Elgin, SC; four nieces, Mary Miller of Depew, NY, Marcia Chisamore of Nashua, NH, Margaret Necel of Naples, Fl and Barbara Michalski of Williamsville, NY; two nephews, Stephen Necel and William Necel, both of New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 1 Passaic Street, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or to Our Lady of Mt.
