Sybil Matteson Obituary

MATTESON-Sybil H. Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on November 11, 2007. She was born in Batavia, NY on July 9, 1933. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Barney, their three sons, wives and seven grandchildren. David and Joanne (Kelly) of Monument, CO have three children David, Nate and Kelly. Douglas and Tricia (Morley) of St. Louis, MO have two sons Robert and Patrick. Daniel and Kelly (Van Slyke) of Reno, NV have two children Cole and Hope. Her sons and grandchildren were her priority and joy. Sybil was an accomplished nationally ranked Sweet Adeline, an avid golfer and snow skier. She was an active member at both Holimont in Ellicottville, NY and Silver Lake Country Club in Perry, NY. She and Barney have enjoyed the last several years visiting family and friends as they traveled the country in their motor home. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pikes Peak Hospice 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Suite 600, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 or Make A Wish Foundation 7951 E. Maplewood Ave. Suite 126, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
