Dear Mrs.Schaal,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Rev. Schaal married my husband and I in the Kendall Methodist Church, Kendall, New York, on June 20. 1953. It was a very hot day.I had often wondering where the family moved too.

Evaline,We were all so saddened to hear of Phil's passing. He was such a kind and gentle, gentleman. We were so touched when he took Ryan under his wing and took him out in the canoe. Ron and I will never forget how you both spent the day with us when Ryan had his heart surgery. It was a scary day, thank you for being there for us.
Laura, it was so nice to have your Dad here at Hamburg UMC with us, he was such a good influence. He stuck it out with us and I really admired him for that. He showed us how to remain calm, when it wasn't easy. I have been lucky to know your family for such a long time, back when we were kids and your Dad was our pastor in Dunkirk. I got lucky twice, he was a spiritual leader for me as a child and as an adult. Not to mention, we were blessed to have you here at HUMC too! (Those were the days!)
Our families thoughts and prayers are with your family. Please know how much we will miss Phil and how thankful we are that we knew him. God bless.
