To the Durkin Family: I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Jack was a very good friend, one who always had that special smile to greet you with, half happy, half smirk. His positive personality was infectious. I can't remember him ever saying a negative word of anyone, just a great guy. I will always remember you Jack.

Dear Aunt Shelia, Colleen and Patti,
I just wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this most difficult time. Although our paths have not crossed in many years, loss of Family certainly gives us reason for reflection and hits very close to home. When Mom called with the sad news, my mind took me back to 221 Freed St. in Sugar Notch where my Brother John and I played with Uncle John and little Jack. Of course, Aunt Nancy was always there to attempt to settle us down before we ruined the furniture or the entire house for that matter.
We love you all and are comforted in the knowledge that Jack has joined the Great Family Reunion in Heaven with God, Uncle John, Nana and Popop Durkin and my Dad Jack, along with the others that have gone before him. We can all look forward to the day when we join them in that very special place. Until then, may God hold Jack in the palm of his hand.
God Bless all of you today and always,
With all of our Love,
Jim, Jeanne, Jimmy, Nate and Anne Gulick (Cincinnati, Ohio)

To the Durkin family I feel your loss. My prayers are with all of you through this holiday season. Jack was my first friend at 10 years old in a new neighborhood. He invited me to join a football team with him. Now I coach youth football because of that gift so long ago. We were best of friends during that time and I will never forget him.

Dear Shelia and Family,

Many years have passed since we last talked or even saw each other for that matter. One thing always stayed with me throughout the years, that was the love and devotion that you had for your family. I respected that, and your family did too.

I am so saddened by your loss. I can only tell you that I will remember all of you in my prayers.

My memories were only good ones, even if they were many, many years ago.

Please contact me if there is anything I can do to help.
