Kevin:
I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. He was a great guy and such a part of my childhood at St. Al's (I think he took every school picture of ours). I can't tell you how many times I've driven past your parent's house, on the way to my mother's, and smiled and waved as I saw him on the porch with your mom. He'll be missed and remembered fondly.
God bless you.

I was sad to here of the passing of Jack Mahoney, a true gentleman if there ever was one. In the short time we knew and worked togather, he taught me a lot about, sense of community, life and people. People, Jack loved being around people, he knew how to treat them, how to make them smile. Jack truley knew the art of making people smile. I will always remember him for that.

I came to know Jack as our school's contact from Knack and Richards and Lifetouch! Jack's genuine caring and humor was evident in every visit. He was very professional and always took the time to be sure that our school was ready for pictures. We also swapped South Buffalo Irish stories as well as other tales of our families and friends. Jack was so proud of his wife and family, and although I never met them, felt I knew them through Jack. He was a true gentleman, scholar and role model about living life to the fullest with integrity and honor. Heaven is celebrating today! We will miss you Jack!

I worked with Jack at Knack & Richards for 17 years. He took me under his wing when I was in my early 20’s and taught me every thing I know today about photographing children. The stories are endless, from the time we hit a skunk on the way to a school and we smelled so bad the kids were holding there noses when they came in to the aud for pictures (He lost that account), to the time he walked around for more than an hour with a principal taking yearbook pictures knowing there was no film in the camera (he forgot it). You had to see that one, every time he took a picture he looked at me with that “if he only knew” grin. The most important thing Jack ever taught me was how to get a real smile from the children we were photographing. There’s nothing better then calling a little heavy set girl Miss America or a little nerdy kid Superman and watching their face light up with a smile. So our job wasn’t just to photograph 100’s of children a day, our job was making 100’s of children a day smile. For this I will be forever grateful. Jack you will truly be missed.

Jack was a gentlemen and a friend whom I had the pleasure to deal with at West Hertel Academy. He was always smiling and I know he will be truly missed by those who had the pleasure to know him.
