December 1, 2007

I was so sorry to hear of Merle's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Andrews family, especially Susan and Michael whom I have known since childhood.

I would like to offer this prayer to Merle, who always treated me with respect and kindness.

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen

Love,

Barbara Bara ( Turner)

Dear Rosemary,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am thankful for all this technology that allows us to communicate and respond to loved ones, old and new , especially in sad, difficult times. You have always been such a beautiful person. I understand that words alone cannot heal your sorrow but prayers, mine and others will lessen it.

Rosemary, I was shocked to learn of Merl's sudden death last Saturday. Still cannot believe it happened to such a robust and vibrant man. Under these bewildering circumstances, it's difficult to choose the right words to say to help soften the grief that's come to each of you. I can only say that we offer our sympathy and hope that you find your way through these sorrowful weeks ahead and eventually reach a place of peace and understanding. Our prayers go out to you, Rosemary, to your children & grandchildren, as well as the entire Merlyn Andrews family.
