Ive learned through moments like these how short our time here is. It was once said to me that in the end the only thing that remains is the impression you left on others....Jim left such a wonderful impression. Im so thankful for the time we had (most of it spent on the North Collins football feilds and the Gavins backyard) and the impression Jims life left on mine. Bless you all. It pains me to think that we will never see Jim in our house again. It pains us more to think of what you are going through. Our thoughts and prayers and deepest condolences are forever with you.

I speak on behalf of several from Jim's graduating class. We are truly saddened by the loss of one of our classmates and he will always be remembered for his humor, wit, and good nature. He was a friend to so many of us. We send prayers and love to your entire family. As a class, we have decided to purchase a brick on the Eden Alumni Wall (in front of the Elementary School on Main St.) to honor and serve in memory of Jim. The engraving and placement will take place in the spring, and we will be in contact with you as to where it's location is upon completion. Anyone interested in sharing memories or photos of Jim are invited to visit our class website: www.edenclassof1993.com

There is no way to even try to understand why Jim was taken from this world. I hope I can in someway give your family an understanding of peace, in my eyes.
I didn't know Jim very well. However, the person I knew was a kind, caring, sweet person. I believe Jim is in a great place. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and suffering your family is going through. No one should out live there children. I am very sorry for your loss. Jim will always be remembered as a great person.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was a great friend, a true friend. He had so many great qualities and talents. Jim has always been there for me and he will be greatly missed by so many of his friends. Every time I think of Jim it brings a smile to my face. Jim surely left a lasting impression on each of us. As the Priest said at the service, he was a gift to each of us and we are all lucky to have known him. God Bless

In a world where people ask, "What's in it for me?", Jimmy would ask, "What can I do to help?". Strong will, stand up for what you believe in kind of guy. I'm proud to have called him brother. UAW local 424.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I have so many great memories of my times growing up with Jim. From North Collins Football, to catching snakes in the back yard, to riding our bikes all over town. He was so tremendously talented and he always pushed us to work harder. I'm truly grateful for the times that I've shared with Jim and his entire family. He will be greatly missed.
