Robert McCann Obituary

McCANN-Robert Joseph Of Fairport, NY; November 17, 2007 at home with family at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Arlene; Son, Dr. Robert (Mary Beth) McCann; Daughter Mary Jo (Keith) Parker; and three sisters, Ellen (John) Berner, Florence (Charles) Shuster and Shirley (David) Rousseau; grandchildren and many friends. Bob retired from The Ironworkers and enjoyed golfing, gambling and was a jack-of-all trades, where no job was too difficult to take on. He was devoted to his family and especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren. He grew up and worked in Buffalo and spent several years commuting to Manhattan for work, eventually moving to Staten Island and retiring in Fairport. His humor, fairness and honesty provided the best of role models for his family and will be missed dearly. The family will celebrate his life privately. For those wishing, please consider a donation in Bob's name to the Highland Hospital Foundation (1000 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620) or the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center (601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642).
