To Janet, Patty, Sharon and Family -
We were out of town for Thanksgiving and just learned of Dick's passing. We remember him as a kind person who always had a big smile. Most recently, he became friends with our son Michael while very graciously driving the Wanakah Junior Golf team around Erie County for matches. They spend quite a bit of time in the car and Mr Mead was always interested in Michael's activities. He will be dearly missed.

Dear Janet and Sharon and all the Meads -
Dick was a great guy. I spent many happy hours sitting next to him with a fishing pole in our hands both on Lake Erie and in Gogoma, Ontario. We didn't talk much, however I remember when he spoke it was often wise: "Check your bait", and always interesting: "Let me show you how to do that". He also helped keep the Barons little league baseball team organized. "Which one are you? You're up next." He will be missed. We all will cherish the memories and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

To all the Mead's....I am so sorry for your loss. From the moment I met Mr. Mead growing up on Clifton Pkwy, to the time at Lake Shore Vol. Fire Dept. he was an inspiration. His smiling face and honest conversations truly have left an impact. Thank you Mr. Mead (I still always referred to him as Mr. Mead even after being told to call him Dick as a member of Lake Shore VFC) for the inspiration. All I know is that memories are what keep us all going and I'm sure any whom have met Mr. Mead have the fond memories that I do. Godspeed and I will keep you and he in my prayer. We are so sorry for the loss of such a good man. Memories of growing up on Clifton Pkwy must, of necessity, contain happy memories of picnics, cook-outs, boating on the lake and Mr. Mead's "long cuts". He will be missed.

Janet,
Our most sincere condolences to you and your family. I had the chance to get to know Dick through his membership with the Lake Shore Fire Company and Exempt Association. Dick was always kindhearted and thoughtful to others and it was truly a pleasure to know him. I hope that you find comfort in the many happy memories that you have had with him.
