Hazel Strachan Obituary

STRACHAN-Hazel Jean (Woodcock) Of Webster, NY, formerly of Lewiston, NY, died on November 22, 2007, at age 76 after a long battle with breast cancer. Predeceased by her husband, John N. "Jack" Strachan Jr., MD. Hazel is survived by two 2 brothers, Richard (Diane) Woodcock of Youngstown and Stanley (Carol) Woodcock of North Tonawanda; four children, Ann Strachan (John "Ax" Gebhardt) of Rochester, Catherine Strachan-Dunning (Jim Dunning) of Ashburn, VA, John (Mary Ann) Strachan III of Boynton Beach, FL, and Margaret (Michael) Williams of Penfield; three grandchildren, Colin Dunning of Los Angeles, CA, Robert and Jack Williams of Penfield. Hazel graduated from the E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1951, and married Jack in 1955. After living in Niagara Falls for a number of years, they moved to Lewiston in 1964, their home for over 40 years. Friends are invited to join a memorial celebration from 12-3 PM Wednesday, November 28 at Water Street Landing, 115 S. Water St., Lewiston, NY.

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.Remembering all the good times in the Strachan home. How your parents ever put up with our antics ..I'll never know. It brings a smile to my face now. Your mom was a special women who will always be remembered as having a kind word and sincere and supportive interest in my life!
