I wish I could say that I knew Doris longer than this past year, but the impact she had on me was tremendous.
I met her where she worked, and she helped me through a physical difficulty I was going through. We quickly became friends, and chatted every chance we could.
We had talked of getting together for lunch right before she passed. How I wish we could've both found the time.
Doris was just one of those special, caring people that are so rare these days.......always thinking of others, and wanting to help.
I will miss her always.

I would like to say that I know what it is like to loose a parent especially a close parent. As a matter of fact the last time I saw Dory was at my fathers wake. Dory was a great addition to our resturant and I looked forward to working with her any time I could. See made working fun and exciting and she was a caring person. I remember when ever I had girl problems she always had some advice. After I lost my father who literlly died in my arms, I had people say it will never get better, and then some others who said it will get better. It is what you make of it. It is extremly hard to get over the feeling of disbelief. After a while you will not have the heavy feeling of dread, you might for a while expecially with any firsts, but after a while it will get easier and easier. Just remember that Dory was soooooooo full of life that she would not want you to live your life full of dread. I read a book called "leaving passages" which helped me. ALOT!!! Just know she will have company where she will be laid to rest and my father and your mother will "livin" up the place. If you guys need any help or advice feel free to contact me, its the least I can do for what she did for me in the past.

Dear Jessica:
Losing a parent is such a terrible loss; but God will strengthen and carry you. When you feel as if you cannot go on, just call on the name of Jesus and he will help you. I know that your mother loved shoes, whenever I saw her we would always talk about the new shoes that we bought. Well, now she is singing and dancing all over God's heaven with her new shoes. God Bless and Keep you and your family through this tragic time. Love You and I am here if you ever need me.

To my dear Mother...I will miss you always, no day or amount of time will take away the pain I feel. My heart is broken, I lost my best friend, my life line. I will be strong for Dad, Johnny, Anthony and of course Binks. She loves you Mom..she will always miss you. May you rest in peace with Grammy Lammy, may you watch over us every day as we look to the sky for a ray of sunshine to guide us through the rest of our days. Until we meet again I love you always and forever..Baby Girl

There are no words to say. You all know how much your mother and I loved each other. There are so many memories we all share. My kids always called your Mom "The President of my fan club". If any of you need to talk, please call me.
