Sylvia was a great instrument in helping her loved breed be recognized. She was a hard and willing worker for SKOC which we appreciated. I loved her positive attitude with her illness and am so sorry you have lost her. Our deepest sympathies.

Gina and family,
My condolences to you all.
Gina, it will be the little things that you will remember; the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. I may seem hard right now, but the memories of all these things will help ease the pain and bring a smile again.

Nichol - it is with deepest and sincerest sorrow that I pass on to you and your family. It is unfortunate to lose a mom when there are still so many things that you would have liked to share with her. Keep the faith - she will be watching over you and keeping you safe.

I had the previlage of meeting Sylvia and spending an entire week of talking dogs which as most of you know was her favorite subject. She possessed a wealth of knowledge that she freely gave to any that would take it to heart. My prayers are with her dearly loved family, the two leggers and four that will miss her deeply.

It is a sad day for me to hear of the passing of such a great lady. I am grateful for all the great times and wonderful memories of Sylvia and her dogs. She will live on in the hearts of all those that she touched. Her smile and twinkle in her eye will always be remebered. Her legacy will last forever in her contribution she made to the Havanese. I will smile and be able to remeber her every time I see one of her puppies & grand puppies in the ring.

Two years ago mom began a journey. Though we didn't understand at the time, we now know her choices allowed her to live a lifetime.
She made new friends, became closer to family and existing friends, and even got to know her new granddaughter. The memory of mom will be kept alive in us all and retold so others will know who she was.
Mom's journey came to an end sooner than we would like, but she simply exchanged one journey for another. We miss you. - Greg, Sabrina & Devyn

My deepest sympathies to Sylvia's family.
Her courage, humor and love of her dogs was never lost. Her knowledge was imparted freely and impartially.
Her aura shone worldwide and she has provided a legacy that will continue well past our brief lifetimes.
Peaceful journey Sylvia.

Gina:
I met your Mom approx 2 years ago through 'Toastmasters'. She was a wonderful woman, and often spoke of her family and also her sorrow over the loss of her Mother (they are now together). I did not realize you were her dauther. I don't know if you remember me from the 'Dodger' days (Darlene and I)--my deepest sympathy to you and your family!

We thought long and hard how to sum up how we feel about Sylvia and mere words can't say enough. But, we will try.
Sylvia had this positive outlook on life in the midst of adversity - she always had time for others, offering a kind word, words of wisdom, always helping others when life threw her curves and her passion for the Havanese, her family and friends came through clearly. She is sorely missed but her legacy will continue in our thoughts and in our heart. She has taught us a great deal.
Our thoughts are with those that love and know her. We will mourn her loss but will always keep and treasure those memories she gave to so many.
If ever faced with these curves life throws us, we can only hope that we would be half as strong and as caring as this grand dam was.
We thank the family for sharing Sylvia with us. We are all richer for that!

Mom,
I am missing you so terribly much. I miss our daily talks already. You have been thru my trials and tribulations my whole life and never left my side. I knew I could always fall back on you and you would be there. I can't begin to describe how the last two weeks has shown me your kindness, your strength and most of all, your love. We have grown as individuals and as a family and we owe that to you. I'm proud to be your daughter. I love you so much. And as I would say a million times to ya . . . . later

I did not have the privilege of knowing Sylvia in person, but I did know her in Cyberspace. She was always a positive, knowing voice on the Havanese Big List, where her expertise and compassion were always welcome. Sylvia was a mentor to many people in the Havanese world and she is going to be greatly missed. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Sylvia's family and friends. She has left this life but has entered into Eternal Life, where I am sure she was greeted by a great many Havanese Souls.

Sylvia, wonderful woman with such great spirit. She was a great rock for me when I went thru my chemo last winter. Especially thru my first 2 chemos. She had such a great attitude and I thought she would beat it. Last I heard she was going for a 3rd type of chemo. What a great loss to the dog world and to everyone who knew her.
