Dear Family: I was so sad to hear of Barb's passing. Barb made a huge impact on my professional life. I will never forget interviewing with her in 1995 in the lobby of the Liberty Mutual office building in Louisville, KY. Barb was stepping up to help hire a new staff member for that office while her counterpart was on medical leave, and we could not get into the locked office! Barb's willingness to be a team player helped to give me a strong start to a very successful career, and I will always be thankful. Barb was always willing to help, be a strong sounding board for her staff, and a role model to follow. Barb was always the fun person in our group and one who would always step up and participate. She made working fun with her fabulous sense of humor. Barb was easy to be around. May you be comforted by your memories. I have too many to mention.

Dear Suzi,Kristin, family & friends of Barb,
I am profoundly saddened by the loss of Barb. I knew her only 2 years yet she managed to make a huge impact on me. Barb displayed such immense courage, grace and incredible wit as she faced adversity. She certainly was and will continue to be an inspiration to me. Two things come to mind when I think of Barb: her immense capacity for humor and her deep love of her family. She spoke proudly and often of her children and grandchildren as well as her siblings. She had many close and loyal friends and family and it is no wonder. It was a pleasure and a priviledge to be a part of Barb's treatment team. She will be deeply missed by all of us at HOCI.

I am so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. I knew her through work at Liberty, and I'll always remember her putting together the entertainments at the Regional Meetings - we still talked about the "Calendar Girls" (who were our salesmen and managers, dressed up as each month!). She was dedicated to her work, but most of all, to her family. May the love that she had for you all carry you through this time of sorrow.

Dear Suzie & Kristin,
My deepest sympathy to both of you & your families. I will always remember your mom, my friend & sister in law, who welcomed me into the Evans family at a most difficult time in her life, the death of her mother. She was there for me thru both the difficult and great times. She had the gift to make people laugh even in the worst of times.
May you find comfort & strength knowing that your mother is at peace in heaven with God.
My prayers are with you both at this most difficult time. If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask.
Barb, until we meet again, I love you.
Suzie & Kristin,love you both,

Kristin,Suzanne, & Families:

Although we have had infrequent encounters over the last several years, I am saddened and will be forever grateful that Barb and my paths crossed.

We commiserated on the trials of being a single parent and we shared many laughs and good times through CFMC.

I often wished that she could appreciate the many talents that she had as much as those around her felt.

I do know that she was extremely proud of her girls and grandchildren. The last time we talked, she was sharing a Grandma-Grandchild trip that she had recently taken and told me how she did one-on-one trips for their birthdays etc.

I hold you all in my thoughts, heart, and prayers.

I know that my friend Barb has found the peace that she so richly deserved.

Dear Kristin, Suzie, & Family,

What a wonderful woman your mother, sister and grandmother was. I had the great pleasure of working with her & knowing her for six years. During this short time, she touched my life in so many ways. She was the BEST boss I've ever had or will have. She had a way of knowing when you were having a bad day or upset and with her ONE OF A KIND sense of HUMOR, she would make me laugh. I can see her now sitting with the Lord and cracking him up with her humor as she did with all of us here. She wasn't just a boss to me, she was my friend and I looked up to her as a mother. She was the BEST! "I LOVE YOU BARB AND WILL MISS YOU"

May God give you strength, peace & comfort during this difficult time. My prayers are with you all. She will be greatly missed!
