Christine E. Dreznes, nee Pilkis, founder and co-owner of Beverly Records & Costumes, beloved wife of John J. for over 62 years; loving mother of Jacqueline Rickman, Jack (Dolores), Michael (Margaret) and Randy (Loretta) Dreznes; dear grandmother of 15 and preceded in death by her grandchild, Jolie Rickman; cherished great-grandmother of three; great friend of many. Visitation Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 9:15 a.m. from The Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, to St. Damian Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment private.

I was a disc jockey in the 80's. Once all my 45rpm records were stolen, and Mrs. D. replace them all at cost, and the whole gang worked hard to find the 300 singles I needed. Thanks again, Mrs. D.

Mrs. Dreznes gave me, my brother, sisters and ultimately my children as well the greatest gift anyone could give us. She gave us music to last our lifetime and beyond. My deepest sympathiy to her friends and loved ones. She was always a joy to know, a vast fund of musical information and a wonderful woman.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Ms. Dreznes. My family has been buying records from Beverly Records since I can remember. We used to live near the store and couldn't wait for the next time we could go there. My most sincere condolences go to the family.

When I first met Mrs "D" in 1979, i was an 18 year old English boy looking for soul 45s. She & papa John insisted I stay with them rather than at the YMCA on Wabash ave, there after I was treated like one of the family!. I have so many happy memories of the time i spent with Mr & Mrs "D" & the family. I know one thing, Chicago won't be the same place to me anymore, without Christine Dreznes. My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Jack, Randy, and family,
I am so very sorry to learn about the loss of your mom. I didn't know her personally, but she sure affected my life in a big way: if it weren't for her starting this great record store, my Christmas album collection wouldn't be what it is today. And since Christmas music is the great joy and passion of my life, I owe her a tremendous debt of gratitude. Thanks Mrs. Dee!!

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Dreznes. Evertime I came to the store from the late 70's to the late 9o's she was there with a smile and a world of knowledge that was uncanny. What a lovely lady. I miss her happy disposition and will never forget her helpfullness.

I am so very sorry for your loss. My mom (Lee Beleckis Adams) and "Pliks" shared many happy times in their early adult lives, and my mom always spoke fondly of your spouse and mom. My mom died in l994 and my dad died in 2002.
