To the Maestranzi family,
My family & I would like to take this moment to pay our deepest heartfelt condolences for the passing of your son Patrick. I found out about your son’s passing when I visited my mom today during my lunch break. I knew Pat since I was in kindergarten, and we graduated from the same grade school (St. Mary of the Woods). The one thing I remembered most was when Patrick and one of his classmates did a class presentation on Greek Mythology. He was the only person out of the whole 8th grade class that recorded his presentation on video. It showed the presentation itself & some commercials he & his classmate created. I thought that was one the best presentations of all the presentations presented. “Though it is hard to let Patrick go in the Father’s hands we know, that a lifetime is never too long to live as Friends”

My deepest sympathies to the Maestranzi family. I just found out today of Pats passing, and am absolutely saddened to the core. I have a son who is now 10, and that is the age Pat and myself were when we used to play together constantly. He showed me how to shoot his BB gun, and I saved up for months to buy the same, exact, one he had. Pat was the one who set the sights on that rifle for me the night I got it. I recently gave that same gun to my son, and it still shoots perfect, like the day he set the sights for me. I will always remember him as a truly great friend!!

What can anyone say, there is no pain that can compare to that of the loss of a child. Your faith, your family and the passage of time are your comfort. With love,

I have known Pat for over 27 years, as
an employee and friend. He was always a
serious individual. But he had his fun
side. It is unfortunate that his life was so short. But he is now at peace.
Though the body may cease, the spirit
lives on.

Dear Ellie, Ted, Shelley, Michelle, Matthew, Chris & TJ:
I sit here, far away from Chicago, with tears in my eyes. We will always remember Pat or as my husband liked to call him “Sir Patrick”. Pat was a caring and loving boy and he grew into such a fine man.
It’s so hard to understand why this happened to such a good family as the Maestranzi’s. I have many photos of when our children were young together. When I look at them it will bring a warm smile and I’ll whisper a pray and say “thank you Lord for letting us know Patrick”.
All our love and sympathy goes out to you. Ginny & John Celmer
