Maria Petrenko, 87, of Island Lake, IL, October 22, 2010. Beloved wife of the late John; loving mother of Victor (Alana), Paul (the late Toni) and Alex (Judy); dear grandmother of John, Jim, Mike, Laura, Christina, Michael, Steve and Andy; caring great-grandmother of Mike, Eddy, Adriana, Victor and Charles. Funeral Service Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, 10 a.m. at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Ave. Interment St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Bloomingdale, IL. Visitation Tuesday 3 to 9 p.m. with Panachyda (Wake Service) 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Northeastern, IL, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, IL 60010 or 1-800-425-4444. I already miss you Maria. RIP
I remember growing up as a kid, John Petrenko and Maria Petrenko would play kick ball with me and would have long walks around the area. They helped my parents out sooo much when we were kids. I'm happy and blessed to have met them. Happy that Maria had the chance to see everybody grow up. I remember our childhood friends Mikey Jimmy Johnny and Laura chanting " Deetohh!!!!!"....."Babaahhh!"
Thank you Maria for all the love you gave us growing up.
