SAM NICOSIA Obituary

Sam Nicosia, "Happy Sam", 94 of Melrose Park passed away on April 30, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy nee Colucci; cherished son of the late Serafino and Stella nee Cannici; dearest brother of Phyllis (the late Anthony) Aiuppa Anthony (Glenna) the late Tom (the late Josephine) the late Joseph (the late Mary) the late Frank (Cindy) Nicosia; the proud uncle, great uncle and great-great uncle of many nieces and nephews. WWII veteran US Army Infantry. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 4 at 11 a.m., friends and relatives are asked to gather by 10:45, at The Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1101 North 23rd Ave., Melrose Park followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Crucifixion Garden Mausoleum. Arrangements handled by the Ed Prignano Funeral Home, info 708-344-0635.
