I loved Irene Schilling. I knew her from my years of working for the Village and Veterans Park District. Always smiling, always kind, always happy to see me. I will never, ever forget seeing her at Kiddieland on the day it closed to the public. It captured everything I always thought about Irene--she loved life. I'll miss her.
