I just read about Mary's passing in the Regina Dominican Magazine. I went to RD with Mary. When I saw her name, her smiling face presented itself. Mary was always smiling and always directed on doing positive things. That is my memory of her. I am sorry for your loss.

I knew Mary from Regina HS. We played basketball together. "Mary Oz" was a great athlete, great Senior Class President, great friend. She was a leader, but was one of the gang at the same time. Lots of memories of laughing together and celebrating beating Marywood and Sacred Heart. Her dad was our guest speaker at the Sports Award Night, and her mom was always warm and friendly to all of us. My sincere condolences to all of her family at this time of great loss.

Dear Osmanski and Ferlic families:
I remember my times with Mary when we were classmates at Regina dominican High School, and although I have not seen Mary since we graduated, it was heartwarming to read others' comments about what they recalled about Mary, what she meant to them and the acitivities, charities and boards that she was part of during her lifetime. How interesting to me that already in her teens at Regina that was part of who she was and nothing that was listed such as social work, hospice, etc. surprised me as that was part of her character and what i knew of Mary in high school. Sounds like she further developed those qualities to a greater degree and in broader ways as she moved on to college as well as family and professional life. I am sure she was a wonderful mother, daughter and friend because that is Mary. Here's a little known fact--did you know you mom was a good basketball player, too? I can also remember meeting Mary's mom and dad and visiting them at her home. Mary seemed to get her sweetness from her mother! She will be missed;however, it sounds to me like she left quite a legacy behind with lasting memories for friends and family and wonderful charitable deeds. I am glad my path crossed hers for four very impressionable years of my life....she left quite an impression on me... so glad I was able to express some personal thoughts in a card months ago when I first learned she was so ill.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

It is very hard to imagine that Mary Osmanski has left us so prematurely. She was a very strong leader in our class at St. Mary's and always demonstrated her high spirits and abundant energy in countless student government activities, as well as in her friendship with so many in our class. Bless you, Mary!
