Ralph Henry Slater, 80, long time resident of Buffalo Grove. Beloved husband of the late Joan, nee Dombrowski, Slater; loving father of Cathleen (James, Jr.) Condit, Sharon (Steven) Foulk, Thomas Slater and Stephen (Jacqueline) Slater; cherished grandfather of Robert, Jennifer, Erik, Daniel, Nicole and great grandfather of Gavin; fond brother Joan (Bernie) Hennings and the late James Slater. Visitation from 3 until 9 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011 at the GlueckertFuneral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 a.m., Saturday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary Parish Cemetery. I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I worked with your mom for years at Acco and was just talking to someone about your dad and wondering where he was and saw this obit. At least they're together now. I still miss Joan. What a great couple.
