Dear Rita and the entire Eickhoff Family,
Both Carolyn and I graduated with Jim, Bill's brother, and we are terribly saddened to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful athlete, teammate, leader and more impressively he had a heart of gold. Our deepest sympathies...Jim and Carolyn (Keegan) Bouchard - Class of '79

Bill was so enjoyable to work with. He was always passionate and energetic. A truly wonderful guy. Always wanting to be helpful and cared about his work and the people he worked with. We will miss him so much. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Bill made our neighborhood very special. He was so kind to everyone, from my parents to my children. I will truly miss seeing him on walks and at so many events around town. Our hearts are heavy for the entire Eickhoff family.

My mom Louise Nelson lives across the street from your family. She spoke of Bill often. He was always so kind to her and she cared so deeply about him. We have such wonderful memories of Bill at his children's sporting events, plays, programs, and graduations. Keep strong in your faith for it will guide you through this most difficult time. Everyone who knew Bill was blessed. Thinking back to early memories of him running the option as Hinsdale Central's quarterback....he was a winner then and always, and most of all a great person who enriched so many lives. I'm so devastated by the news and sorry beyond words Rita for you and the children. All my prayers and condolences.

Your Dad touched so many people. One of the simple joys of every day was seeing him walk past the house and wave to the dogs. How we will miss him.

Our family is so very sorry to hear about Bill.Having attended high school with both Rita and Bill, i knew each of them fairly well. Although it has been many years since I have seen them, they were such caring neighbors to my parents.Bill was always so warm and thoughtful. Rita, i am so very sorry your loss and have you and your children in my prayers.

Some of my fondest memories of high school cross country and track were spent with you and Bill ankle deep in whatever, where ever, watching and cheering our daughters on. Bill was a model for every father on how to support your kids, not just in their athletic endeavors, but in life. I am a better man for having known him.
