WILLIAM EICKHOFF Obituary

William G. Eickhoff, 47, of Clarendon Hills, IL, entered eternal life on Sunday, May 8, 2011, in Oxford, OH, while attending the college graduation of his daughter, Kristie. Bill was born in Delaware, OH, on January 11, 1964. He graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1982 where he distinguished himself as both a leader on the football field and a friend to all. He went on to receive a degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University and then returned home to Clarendon Hills where he married the love of his life, Rita Killeen, on June 14, 1986. Bill was a devoted husband to Rita during their 24 years together and a loving father to their three children, Kristie (22), Mitchell (20), and Kelly (17). His life-long love of sports was shared by each of his children and he was often found near the athletic field supporting, coaching, and cheering them on. He was active in several local religious and school organizations, and touched the lives of many in his community with his quick smile, compassion and generosity. He is the beloved son of James H. and Carol L. Eickhoff of Lisle, IL; and is survived by his brother, James H. Eickhoff, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH; and his sister, Linda (Eickhoff) Kearney of Lebanon, OH; along with many nieces and nephews. His many friends are invited to attend a visitation at Notre Dame Church, 64 Norfolk Ave., Clarendon Hills, IL, 60514, on Thursday, May 12, from 9:30 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: The Eickhoff Children Fund, c/o Clarendon Hills Bank, 200 Burlington Avenue, Clarendon Hills, IL 60514-1185. Rita,

Some of my fondest memories of high school cross country and track were spent with you and Bill ankle deep in whatever, where ever, watching and cheering our daughters on. Bill was a model for every father on how to support your kids, not just in their athletic endeavors, but in life. I am a better man for having known him.

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family.
