My mother, Dorothy Meyer, formerly of 1845 N. Mohawk St., was a friend and fellow St. Michael's parishioner with Millie for many, many years. She is now a resident of Belmont Village in Oak Park and is 101 years old, but still fondly remembers Millie and the good times they had with the "Prime Timers" at St. Michael's. I also fondly remember Millie from the times I met her when I was with my mom, and we both feel that she was a sweet, warm hearted lady with a great sense of humor! We were both very saddened to read of her passing, and we extend our warmest condolences to her family.
Fondly, Gerri Velarde, 1727 N. New England Ave., Chicago, IL 60707 773-385-6738.
