MARY M. CONNOLLY

Mary M. Connolly, nee McCarthy, 87, of River Forest, died Saturday, May 7, at the Cornerstone Hospital, in Austin, TX, after a courageous battle with pneumonia. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Connolly; dear mother of Maura (Roger) Conway, Kevin, and the late Veronica; loving grandmother of Jennifer Conway (fiance Guillermo Basualdo), Sheila (Paul) Morawiec, Shannon (Guy) Grice, Erin (Jay) Watson, Brennen and Daniel Connolly; beloved great-grandmother of Nicholas, Grace, Hannah, Mykayla, Liam, Emma, and Eann; beloved sister of the late Vivian. Mary was born in Chicago, March 26,1924, to the late Tim and the late Theresa, nee Regan. Mary spent over 20 years as an educational administrator at Austin High School, in Chicago. Mary loved to volunteer her time at St. Luke Parish. Mary was an exceptional bridge player, as well as a great addition to any social gathering, and proud member of the "West Side Irish." Funeral, Saturday, 10:15 a.m., from the Peterson-Bassi Chapels, 6938 W. North Ave., Chicago, to St Luke Church, River Forest, for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside.
