CYNTHIA ENGELHARDT Obituary

Cynthia "Cyndy" L. Engelhardt, 58, of Mt. Prospect formerly of Palatine. Memorial visitation for Cyndy Engelhardt will be held at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwlng Road, Rolling Meadows, on Friday, May 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 5:30 p.m. Interment will be private. Cyndy was born on Dec. 29, 1952 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Walter M. and Mary Ann, nee Szydelko, Kloka went home to be with Jesus on Friday May 6. Cyndy's faith was very important to her. Her devotion to the Lord came first and as a result she had a heart to love and serve people. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother. Some of the hobbies that she enjoyed were arts, crafts and especially knitting. Cyndy would knit hats, blankets and other items and then give them to others. Cyndy is survived by her husband Joseph S. Engelhardt; her cherished daughters Anna J. Hartnett and Martha M. Hartnett; her siblings Carol Ann Kloka, Cheryl Twardowski, Charlene L. Kloka and the late Constance Kloka Grigat; nieces and nephews Amy and Garett Twardowski, Gina Conley and Tony Grigat. Cyndy loved to pray and knew that the Lord heard her prayers and desired she for everyone to come to know the saving love of Jesus. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for Harvest Bible Church in Cyndy's memory or the American Heart Association. Even though we met for such a short time, Cynthia was salt of the earth. I throughly enjoyed our time together and miss her. But one of the things that I take comfort is that she and I spoke about salvation and being children of the most high was that she was ready to join our father in heaven. God bless you sister Cynthia and thank you for being a true light amongst the darkness.

Cyndy

I am so very, very sad. I truly lost my FRIEND. Yes my dear school friend, years could have passed but it never seemed more than a few days. We were always able to just pick up from where we left off. We just "reconnected" on facebook because of the kids and looked forward to seeing you the next time I was in Chicago.

You and your daughters will be in my prayers always.

Love Always, Lil
