Leonard Stern, 91, adoring husband for 63 1/2 wonderful years of Elayne, nee Rubin; precious father of Shelley (Michael) Markman and Vicki (Steven) Wittert; cherished and proud papa of Jaime (Scott) Gordon, Todd (Erica) Markman, Adam (Jennifer) Markman, Samantha (Matthew) Schwartz and Alison Wittert (Valandis Vrakas fiancé); loving great-grandfather of Brandon and Ryan Gordon and Mason Markman; dear brother of Sheldon (Shirley) Stern and Bernard (Rita) Stern and brother-in-law of Honeylou (the late Morris) Reznik; treasured uncle, cousin and friend of many. This artist will be greatly missed by all. Chapel service Thursday, 12:15 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. He was a good and wonderful man. He will be missed and sadly, we all lost a member of the Greatest Generation. His name will be a blessed memory.
