GEORGE GRIFFIN Obituary

George Arthur Griffin, 100, of Aurora, IL, formerly of Oswego and Boynton Beach, FL passed away on May 9, 2011. He was the husband of the late Mary Lucille, nee Singletary; father of George (Sue) of Boise, ID, Robert (Patricia), William (Barbara) of Aurora, Mary Ann (Willie) Sanders of Evanston, IL, Kathleen (Timothy) Yambor of Omaha, NE, and Maureen (Daniel) Sexton of Durham, NC; grandfather, great-grandfather; great-great-grandfather of 77. He will be missed. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 South Douglas Road, Oswego, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 13, 10 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Patrick Gillmeyer at Annunciation Church, 1820 Church Rd., Aurora, IL. Interment Evergreen Cemetery in Morris, IL. Memorials directed to Neighbors Next Door, or Seasons Hospice. For additional information 630-554-3888.

I'm so proud of the life my grandpa lived and all that he did for his family. My fondest memories are of spending time with him and grandma at their home in Oswego and the smell of his pipe drifting through the air. Mary Klocek (Griffin)
