Phillip and I were corresponding with one another back in 1994 to develop joint consulting opportunities in Australia. Have just come across the letters we exchanged and so decided to see if he was still available. Saddened to hear of his death some years ago and would just like to pass on my condolences. We both shared a military background and it seems that we both later worked for IBM; wish I had known that at the time as we could have worked together on projects of interest within IBM! An opportunity lost. With best wishes to family friends and colleagues, Garry.

Lois (and family); I am saddened to hear of Phil's passing. I think of you often and I remember how happy that you were together. I am praying for you during this difficult time; may your cherished memories bring you comfort.

Phil and I worked at IBM for many years and later had been neighbors in Deerfield. At IBM his industry knowledge and unique way of relating to customers was very successful. Phil helped me in several accounts and always had a story to share with my customers.
After IBM it was always a pleasure to meet up with him in town. I have only fond memories of Phil. My prayers go out to Lois and the family.

I had the honor of meeting Phil only in the past few years and I truly enjoyed my friendship with him. His devotion to his family, his interest in art and his warmth and gentle manner was so honest and sincere. He was everything that was wonderful about "old school" and I shall miss his communications and the conversations I had with him. To Lois, his partner in life ,and to his family some of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting, I and everyone at Chartwell Insurance extend their condolences.

A mensh through and through, Phil lived to fulfill his most precious dreams. Together with Lois, he built a loving family. Despite many obstacles, Phil became an accomplished scientist applying computer technology to the steel industry and other areas as well long before there was a Silicon Valley. After his retirement from IBM he studied at the Art Institute and became an artist who created paintings that were unique in their blending of color and shapes.. You will be missed, dear friend.
