Rest in peace

I`ll always remember Stan as smiling and I`ll never forget that when at Lane playing football it was due to his great blocks up front of me that made any runs that I made possible-Coarse Stan would turn around say to me after the play,"You know I was the one who blocked for you on that play!"and he was absolutely right!.Rest in peace my fine and outstanding fellow and be with God now-We will all miss you but I`m sure we`ll see you again-

I am sure Willie and other members of the immediate family could provide us with a long list of Stan's positive traits. Stan and I were teammates, classmates, and friends. The one enduring quality I remember the most about Stan was his sense of humor - even when I called and he was in great pain. Stan liked to laugh - but, not at someone else's expemse. He was the only 250 pound lineman I knew to were low cut football spikes. He must have felt they made him faster. Reast in peace my friend.

I will always remember Stan as the gentle giant. A good teammate (GoLaneGo-1959 City Champs), a good poker hand (in our occasional Friday or Satuday high school buddy poker games) and as some one who seemed to enjoy being a good friend.
