I knew Janeen many years ago. She was my neighbor while I lived in Chicago in the 80's. We were also travel directors together. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. If anyone is willing to write me about her more recent life, it would be so welcome. Anyway, blessings to a beautiful soul.

I attended the St. Olaf College reunion last week and was hoping to see Janeen again. She was one of my better friends and we had so much fun when I attended the 25th reunion.
I was saddened to see her name listed with the deceased. This explains my failed attempts to contact her during the past few years. I sent Christmas cards and called whenever I happened to transfer planes at the Chicago airport.
She had such pretty thick blond hair and bright smile. I envied her exciting travels. I expect she is part of the welcoming committee and giving tours of heaven.

I was deeply saddened to just find out about the loss of a dearly loved friend. We were campers together and even though we didn't see each other often, when we did it was if there had been no time lapse whatsoever. My deepest sympathy to her family!

We were deeply shocked to hear from AHI manager in Vidin, Bulgaria that we will never met our wonderful Janeen again. She was the best Chicago tour guide we have seen and the most professional cruise manager. It is hard to believe she will not be talking and smiling to us. Dear Karen and beloved parents of Janeen, we are sure that she will always be present invisibly for her passion about welfare of others was unbelievable! Dear Janeen, we will always love you and think of you as part of our past and future life!God bless your delicate and humanist soul!!! Balkantours: Albena, Alexander and the little Alex who loves Janeen and whom she has given great candies and other presents

My heartfelt sympathy to Janeen's family. Janeen and I met during our freshman year at St. Olaf. We were both from the Chicago suburbs and managed to ride together in a senior's car as far as Racine for breaks. In later years, I always enjoyed seeing her beautiful smile and great laugh. She will be missed by all of her Ole friends.

Janeen to me was " a note or two under the bedroom or cabin door". I had the pleasure of working with her on a few but very memorable tours. I would go to bed at night to wake and find a series of slips of paper posted under the door with the days instructions and tour ademdments. So sad to hear of her passing.

Janeen and I became fast friends our freshman year at St. Olaf College. After we graduated she went to Brussels and worked as a nanny. I visited her there and when she returned to the states we worked together whenever we could. Our last adventure in 2007 took us to Shanghai and Hong Kong with our beloved PurcellMurray. She was a dear friend who put 110% into everything she did. She was a faithful, loving friend who left us way too soon as did her mother. I'm sure they are rejoicing in their reunion.

This is a cruel blow. Janeen will be sorely missed. She was one of the warmest, kindest people we have ever met, with a beautiful spirit. And she was such fun! I always remember the evening - some 20 or 25 years ago - when she persuaded me to join her, reluctantly, for a terrifying ride on the big dipper in Vienna's Prater Park. But how we laughed! Life was always fun when Janeen was about. Our deepest sympathy to her family and all her many friends.
