Charles E. Lindeman, U.S. Army Air Force Veteran. Beloved husband of Rosemary, nee Downs; loving father of Richard C. Lindeman, Julie A. (the late Thomas) Schaves, and Margaret M. (Francis) Maher; cherished grandfather of nine; proud great-grandfather of five. Funeral Saturday, 8:45 a.m., from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th Street, Oak Lawn, to St. Linus Church for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Friday, from 3 until 9 p.m. 708-425-0500. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Grandpaaa, I didn't get to see you again before you passed. I love you and I will never forget you. You were my hero, and still are <3. I remember your shirt you were wearing when you came to see me, Kourtney and Alecia in Florida. It said "Grandpas are just antique little boys". I love you Gramps forever and always.

There are no words for this sad and sorrowful day. I think of all the laughter and joy that has always been in your household and I am grateful to have so often been a part of it. I will remember all those times and remember Chuck's quiet sense of humor and the way he could make me laugh when least expected (he reminded me of my own dad that way, we never knew what he would come up with!) As always my prayers and love are being sent your way and my heart is broken as are yours. Love, Sharon
