Dear Mary, My sympathy goes out to you and your family. Thanks to Jim, the 11th Porters enjoyed many reuinions. Although some of the wives were a bit hesitant about the first one. it was great and we established friendships that lasted a lifetime.
It was an important part of my our lives.
Thanks to you and Jim for all you did.

Dear Mary, Jim, Ann, Mary Margret, Dan, Frances and Sheila, my deepest sympathy at the passing of your Dad and a great friend of mine. Your Dad was always there whenever he was needed, during the war he always made it a point to be a Mass server every time we were fortunate enough to have a field mass. I personally shared many experiences with him in England and then in France. He was one you could always count on and never missed a roll call.
After the war, he and he alone was resonsible for organizing our 11th Port Reunions that were held every two years for many years and as the men started departing we had them every year. Our first and probably the most successful was at the Congress Hotel in Chicago, IL. We shared many sad and many happy experiences through that war and most of us made back to our homes. May God Bless each one of you, you are and will always be in my prayers.

Men like Jim Lynch are what made The Greatest Generation...The Greatest Generation. How fitting his services take place on the anniversary of D-Day. I think about the life he led... the legacy he leaves... and the amazing family he started... WOW!

Uncle Jim was a sweetheart...he always was sincerely happy to see you and hear what was happing in your life. His kindess and welcoming spirit was an endearing quality we all loved about him. These qualities flowed through all relationships and I was always impressed by his ability to stay in touch with so many friends and family. My mom, his sister Mary, received many of his World War II letters, which I read and shared shared with my children. They show his deep sensitivity and love for his family. I will miss his sweet smile. My deepest sympathy to Aunt Mary, Jim, Ann, Mary Margaret, Joan, John, Dan, Frances and Sheila and their spouses and children who I know will miss him very much. I know his brother Dan was there to greet him when he arrived in Heaven.
Love, Rita

Uncle Jim was one of the greatest, kindest and most welcoming people I had the pleasure of loving. He had that wonderful twinkle in his eyes that was so warm and made you so comfortable. He was always in awe of how his Mary could multi-task before that phrase was even invented. He had no problem bragging about his children and grand-children, he delighted in them. He shall be sorely missed but not forgotten. I shall be at Mass in California at the same time as his funeral Mass St. Lukes. I am so sorry Aunt Mary,Jimmy, Annie, Mary Margaret,Joan,John,Dan,Frances and Shelia that I can not be with you all at this difficult time. Uncle Jim, I have no doubt is enjoying that spot in heaven he so richly deserved and earned. Love, Patty Jo and Phil
